Blue-winged teal

Still not the shot I am looking for, but I like the comp. Some will not like the shadow of the top bird falling on the bottom bird, but I don't mind as that is the way these birds fly; very close together. So hard to get a shot of them with nice separation. Believe me I am trying. I have gotten a lot of nice sharp shots, but always birds are covering other birds. All winter yet to go to get the shot I am after and hopefully it will come.

Excellent result have both subjects in focus, in a beautiful pose. I really like the background and I believe the OOF reeds in the foreground help to give depth to the image.

You have had many super postings and this is among my favorites. I think that there are nits and wishes and I think that the shadow is just a minor wish -- for me anyway. Good luck getting the one you want. No doubt you will get it.

Super sharp - no distractions and I think the grasses on the left help the composition of the image a bit.

Great inflight of the two of them. Sharpness is good, esp the the fg duck, but also the rear one. Like the bg colors, really adds a lot to the color of the birds.
I think though, if you cut a bit of the right side it might add more balance. Just an inch.
I also like that you left the fg reeds in the frame.

This is a delight to view Ron, really. The background compliments the colors of the ducks very nicely. I love the two different flight poses, great eye contact, sharpness and details. I don't mind the shadow on the lower bird, I can see plenty of detail in the shadow and I think that the shadow being there gives a touch more depth to the image. I especially like the spread of the wings and tail of the lower teal. Well done, wish I had paid more attention to this species while I was living in Florida. Your duck images are always very inspiring!

Excellent - well done getting both in good pose and in focus. I like the typical wetland setting too.

gorgeous, Ron. love the sharpness, poses, light, and setting. separation of the birds is good, and their positions in the frame work well together. very nice.

Nice BIF formation shot Ron. I like the shadow cast by the 'wingman", it accentuates the close space between this flying pair. :toast:

It looks awfully good to me, Ron. In addition to both birds being nice and sharp, we have a great view of their coloration from different angles....and all this in flight too!! :toast: :toast:

I actually think the shadow is kinda cool and adds another aspect of realism. I'm not too fond of the reeds on the left though. If I could see more than one or two a year I would be making progress.
