Carlsbad, California

After heading to Zion last week, I returned home to some nice sunsets. The tides have been low during sundown, so the exposed reefs, rocks, and pools offer some nice foreground options. I feel so behind in processing my fall images....blame these cool skies.

Canon 5Dmk2, Zeiss 21mm, 3 stop hard gnd plus added exposure blend.

Beautiful and interesting foreground lines topped off with a magical sky.

Low tide is coinciding with sunset tonight! Those fall images can wait. Well composed photo. The exposure blend looks perfect. Great post.

Totally awesome Jimmy. Great leading lines no doubt.

I'm with you on the processing...backed up all the way into Thailand last March.

Lovely! No nits here. Excellent leading lines, and I like that the shoreline is at an angle also, not parallel to the horizon.

Yeah, the clouds, and sky have been really nice around here the last few days too!. Nice lines in the foreground to take you through to the sky. I love the pastels.

The low tides have been nice lately. I like the way you used the fg reflections to lead the eye into that beautifully colored sky. Can't wait to see what you brought back from Zion. Nice work!
