In late December/early January I spent two weeks in Patagonia. Our first stop was Peninsula Valdes, famous for orcas that beach themselves to nab sea lions off the shore, southern right whales and massive southern elephant seals. Of course, the orcas didn't start coming in until February, we had missed the last whale of the season by 5 days and the adult seals had all left for their breeding grounds. So we got some birds and these rambunctious juvenile seals.

This pair practiced dueling in the surf for well over an hour.

A terrific frame very well captured!
May be possible to bring out more details on the right one. May benefit from more room at the top.

Great action shot. You got eye contact from both animals in an action shot, very good.

Very nice Max. The poses, the open mouths, the splashing water and the light are all great attributes. Jagdeep has some excellent suggestions about retrieving some detail on the right one and more room on top. :toast:

Great timing to catch the wave coming in with the two seals open mouthed and up against each other. The warm ochre sand works well to ground the image. :toast:

Love it. Powerful. You handled the harsh light very well, although I agree about salving some detail on the right side.
