Tri Colored Heron

I captured this TCH on Bunche Beach near Ft Myers, Florida this past March. I liked the close colors in the waves and heron, and the fact it had something to nibble on and the raised foot. I would have prefered a lower angle to eliminate the junk in the water but would have had a bright horizon to deal with.

really nice, Doug. I like all the things you mentioned, and I like that you can see the waves coming in behind the bird. The stuff on the water doesn't bother me. The head seems slightly softer (or perhaps just smoother) than the body and neck.

Doug,
the colors are beautiful and I like the pose with the raised foot. Well done. :toast:

You've done a nice job of imaging this bird. Good detail in the heron. IMHO the blue is just too much. I would adjust blue and cyan both.

Nice one Doug. Like the mid-stride capture and the 'about to break' wave in the background

cheers

Doug,

I like the pose, the one raised leg and the prey in the bill. I agree that it was probably not best to go with a lower angle to avoid the bright horizon and there really isn't that much junk in the water to be considered distracting for me. Agree with Angela on the blues, I notice it most on the legs and the Tricolored Herons plumage. I'd tone the blues down a smidge.
