Taking a quick break from the color stuff for a black and white conversion or two. This was taken shortly after Acadia Dawn once the sun came up, the light got a little harsh and the tide continued to go out. Love to hear your thoughts, thanks.

Looks great Kurt - excellent choice for B&W too. Looking for nits, but honestly don't see any.

Wow, Kurt, this is bound to be a classic image of this site. The composition is great, and the tones are so wonderful, it sort of feels like a color image. I mean that in the very best way -- you did not lose anything by converting it to B&W. On the contrary, it sort of seems more colorful than a typical color postcard shot. I hope that makes sense.

Excellent comp and conversion, Kurt! I think this equals Acadia Dawn in impact even though it's a black and white. The flow of the water is a great lead in, and the clouds are dramatic and full of mystery. :toast:

The drama in the sky and that lead in line of water are superb, Kurt. :toast: This certainly looks like another keeper from your trip. Great call on the B&W choice BTW.
