Networking

Shot this on the run one afternoon...handheld. What attracted me to it were all the red stems in the water connecting the pads....a sort of network, hence the title.

D80, f8, usual pse stuff

Critiques and comments are very welcomed and appreciated.

I agree Beth. The red stems against the dark water really stand out and make this an interesting abstract. Can't think of any suggestions for changes :toast:

I quite like it Beth. The red stems add an interesting element to the water. I think I like a little bit cropped off the top - maybe about an inch.

Great comp Beth and I love those red stems. Very interesting image. My only reservation is the partial in the upper right corner intruding from the right. I might clone that out - no real argument for it though. This is a neat image.

I know what it is about the intrusion at the top right. The shape is different enough from all the circles and semicircles that it draws my eye. Same applies for the diagonal mid way on the right.

Beth, Lovely "network" of Lily Computers with the Red Cables  . Great graphical quality also in this photo. The leaf in the top right corner is better cloned since cropping would remove significant real estate in the photo.

Beth:
Yes, the red stems really grab ones attention and the leaves are like pacman chomping away. Nicely seen and captured.

Beth, I can see how you were attracted to the red stems. The lily pads look as though they've had it ;^) Had you considered desaturating the greens and yellows? Or possibly creating a B/W of all but the red stems? Those are the only two options I can think of.

I agree about cropping some from the top and right side. Still a nice use of line and color.

Cool shot, great title! In addition to the red stems, there are some great water tension lines, too.
