Portrait session...

...finally stopped raining, had a portrait session scheduled for Sat a.m. but not the high overcast I was expecting. A backyard barn worked out fine for open shade but by the time the clients got ready and pushed their old jeep out of the barn the sun started to peek over the roof of the barn. Had to do a lot of cloning and burning of the sun streaks on the barn but am happy with the outcome, the clients were ecstatic; made a beautiful 14 x 18 print, with barn wood frame.

You did a very nice job on this, Reno. The tones and color are right on. I bet the print looks very nice. When I look at portraits, I always wonder what the subject(s) are thinking.

Not much 'nature' in this one, though.

Thanks, Preston. Is this site strictly nature or is it California images?

Beautiful portrait,Reno. Great old truck and barn and 4 happy people.
Do photographers need a model release to post something like this? just curious, as I rarely take portrait shots except for family...
Sandy.

Nice portrait, Reno. Too bad you did not get the flat light, but you did well with what you had to work with.

Not much nature in it, but since our little group runs across all genres, fine by me.

Thanks, Sandy/Harley. I always get a model release; should only be needed if using photo for commercial purposes.
