a cloudy, rainy and foggy hike between the larches of the area of Lake Dres, in Gran Paradiso National Park, northwestern Italy, about two weeks ago. Hasselblad, 50/4 Distagon, Velvia 50, tripod, and very wet gears at the end... Scan with film scanner Nikon.

Owing to the details (the scan is about 8000x8000 pixels) the larger version conveys a bit more of the feelings of the original image.

Very cool! I love foggy scenes like this. The colorcast is a bit green-blue, i might warm it up a bit or reduce the green/cyan sat. Nice shot!

Gorgeous colors and then the fog puts it over the top. Very special fall image. One of my favorites that I've seen lately.

Outstanding! I like the square format, and the placement of the stream within the frame. If anything, I'd suggest perhaps adding a radial gradient curves layer to brighten up the stream and left bank below the cascade.

Beautiful scene. So peaceful to look at, I can only imagine what it was like in person. In addition to the depth the fog provides, I love the crooked little larch at center.

My only suggestion follows what others have brought up which is the lower left corner being a tad dark.

Pure magic! I love everything about this image... well except for maybe that little white water in the LLC. That kind of tugs on my eye a bit more than I would like... I might consider burning that down even a little more. Awesome work!

I've come back to look at this a few times, there is something intangible that I really like about this image. I think your composition is really good and of course the foggy conditions help with the mood, and I am partial to golden larches. Really nice.

Ah, Lago Dress, it's quite some time since the last time I've been there.
Wonderful autumn picture, the composition is very strong with the stream and the mist i the distance, and the colour of the larches is just about perfect.
