One more from this past weekend. The sky was crystal clear during the long paddle out under the full moon, but luckily a light fog began drifting from out of the trees and into the lake edges as the sun rose.

Wow, what a great scene, David. Some of the most powerful trees I've ever seen in a photography. And the light just makes the seem more animated.

Incredible. The backlit moss, those trees and that lit fog ... amazing.

Excellent processing of this exquisite light! The image has a very haunting, dreamy feel to it which I really like.

I might consider cropping out that big tree on the left to give the image more balance.

Magical is really the word for this. Amazing work. If this or the previous shot isn't an EP I don't know what is.

The thumbnail of this image suggested it might be a bit boring...man, was I proved wrong. When I opened the large version...wow, it almost took my breath away. I really love it. Takes me back to the woods here in Nroway, early mornings during autumn hunting.
Might be a good idea cropping away some of the tree on the left side, maybe half of it...but I'm not sure.
Cheers

I liked the other one more--this one is only super awesome; the other one was mega-super-awesome! I think the great strength of the the first shot was the single big cypress interacting equally with the light--here the light is even cooler with the rays, but it dominates the trees which are relegated to the background here. So, i would put the first one on the front of my website, and this one somehwere around page 3...

If I hadn't seen your previous post before now I'd be screaming and yelling. Instead, I'm just dancing
A very productive morning, that light is really special and you did the most out of it.

Flat out awesome, David. :toast: The lighting and atmosphere here is nothing short of remarkable. This would make a great companion piece with your prior post.

Lovely, awesome back/side light on the spanish moss, love how it pops against the faint silhouette of the trees.

Oh, I love the way the light is hitting the hanging moss and streaming through the trees. Another beauty David.

So refreshing to see images like these David. I am really surprised there isn't more from similar areas by you. It really is outstanding landscape. There is just sooo much mountain stuff and great to see some stellar regions. Anyway, gorgeous shot and that tree on the right is awesome. Twisting and graphically perfect.

Well done and executed.
