The south shore of Long Island doesn't have too much in the way of big rocks so I took a straight forward sunrise shot. I removed some blue from the water but, some may think it's still too blue, I like the contrast to the orange skies. Nikon D80, 18-55 lens, 1 second exp

I think the processing is perfect on this one. What a beautiful contrast in colour. That single wave is a very nice touch.

Nice color and I like that little bump of a wave that's rolling in. I think this would be stronger if you eliminated the dark strip along the bottom.

Light is spectacular! Though, the name is a big contrast to its colour ;)) Also, the contrast seems to be spot on. Not too much not too light. Great! I agree with Jason here. The dark strip at the bottom of the wave would make it a bit stronger!

I like the color palette just fine here. The sky is stellar and the shutter speed you used to capture this images really works for me. At first I agreed with crop suggestion as I don't know if the sand really enhances the image. Slightly on the fence about that one though.

What a spectacular sight, Donald. I think your exposure and processing show off the sky, water and beach perfectly. I have mixed feelings about the dark strip on the bottom. I know what it would look like cropped off, but I wonder if the image would be stronder if I could see more of what was on the bottom, instead of such a straight, narrow line. Seems we always want to play with the best images, doesn't it? As I said, this is spectacular, and with or without that strip on the bottom, it's a keeper.

This is good. There is a real unity to the ocean beach and sky. Hard to find the lines that separate them. Sort abstract in that regard. I like it.

Very nice Donald - a very surreal scene and the color contrast is wonderful.

I like this very much. The colors and form are relaxing. Even that single wave is coming in smooth and peaceful like.
