Caution: Life Struggle

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted October 24, 2010147 views7 comments

I have not been shooting with the macro much lately, but I got around to processing this image from the summer. I noticed this colorful wasp in a spider web, and expected to get a shot of the spider wrapping it up, but after two hours, the cautious spider, after multiple attemts still had made no progress. Even though the wasp was hopelessly snared by the web, it kept threatening the spider.

Wonderful capture Wayne. Great detail in this shot, especially the spider. Looks like a tough shot and you pulled it off very nice.
