Family Portrait w/Repost

This is the last Portrait of this family as our Dahlia season comes to a close. I was able to salvage a few blooms on their last legs yesterday for some indoor shooting over our rainy weekend. This stack was done with a rail as I continue to explore image stacking.

Nice family indeed. Very well managed composition. I'm not quite sure, but I'd try to darken a bit the lower left dahlia. DOF and overal contrast is excellent. Well done Craig.

I don't know anything about stacking yet, but I wanted to say that I love the composition and the title.

Well done, Craig. The lighting and color are near perfect. You stacked 18 images? It must have paid off, as everything is perfectly aligned and in focus. Congratulations!

The stack looks perfect to me Craig. I also like the composition. I might darken the lower 1/3 to 1/2 of the image a bit but that's entirely subjective. Congrats on your rail, I'll be interested in hearing how you like it.

Excellent presentation. The flowers are gorgeous and I really like the lighter black BG and framing.

Craig, I think the stacking looks great. I'm mostly intrigued by the lighting. The top flower in the image is perfect.

I'm really liking this one Craig. The underside of the leaf in the lower frame is a nice element and how the "youngster" is turned away from the "grownups" is all too typical. Geat job on the stacking everything is very sharp. Good job.

Hi Craig :wavey: Wow!! Everything is sooo sharp. The stack gives an awesome DOF. The repost of the dahlias and their color make a beautiful capture

Craig, that repost is stunning. Excellent image that would make an exceptional print in my view. You've got a lot of great images, and this one definitely ranks as one of your best.

Repost has brought in the much needed contrast. The original has a washed out look, Craig. Splendid photo with good colors and the right DOF.

Craig:
I would print this BIG and hang it up on my wall. Simply outstanding. The lighting on the top bloom is just stunning, like a lit paper lantern - curious how you achieve this effect.
