Just Peachy

I am having fun, experimenting and learning more about stacking images. Using Helicon Soft, my previous post was a stack of images I had taken with different aperature settings, interesting result. I decided to redirect my efforts by stacking images the normal way with minute changes in focusing. I purchased this peach/champaign rose from the local florist and stacked 20 images. I tweaked the result in NIK's DFine, Color EFex Pro and Sharpener Pro. Minor adjustments also in LR increasing contrast to enhance texture.

Pretty impressive stack Craig. Especially in the larger image you can see all the detail. Only nit is the image is too tight. Would like to see more room around the bloom.

Good looking stack and image Craig. I might be inclined to sharpen this a touch more. It's hard to tell from the JPEG and at this resolution. Other than that, I like the image as posted. It's a beautiful rose.

Craig: Looks like I might be the last Flora guy on the planet to try stacking :frown:  . This sure looks good to me. My less than 1¢ nit would be to want a touch more room on the bottom but this is pretty darn nice as is. >=))>

Beautiful stacking job, Craig. I think the learning process on stacking is fun. I think your crop is rather tight and even though I hate to comment on framing, in this case, I think the frame fights the beautiful rose.

Nice job.

If this is the result from stacking in your learning phase, Craig, some stalwarts here better watch out  . Love the stacking result which has brought forward tiny details on the petals so well :toast: . Large version shows it even better.

It may be a bit tight as already mentioned, but still has loads of aesthetic appeal associated with it.

Craig:
The stacking look good with tremendous depth of view.. I actually like how you kept this image slightly soft rather that sharp. Classic take on a rose. Framing looks tad tight but still a darn good image.
