Flora Gallery - 1st Honorable Mention
Geranium

This is a Geranium variety we bought some 2 years back from a local store. It has an amazing Red color which is a beautiful mix of Red, Pink and Orange. We take great pains to keep it alive through the winter months, so far we have been extremely successful.

Thanks a lot for your comments on my previous Garden Scape and do let me know what you think of this one.

ND200, 50mm F/1.8 with 36mm Extension @ F/2.8, 1/200 Sec, ISO200, Diffuser and handheld.

One of your best - easily. The missing petal opened up a whole new world on this image and the fact that you handheld this is incredible.

Magical image Ram. Technically, I'm impressed with the detail and your control of the focal plane on a hand held capture but It's what I perceive to be the lyrical quality of the image that has the most appeal for me. Beautiful..,

Ram: I can't figure what all the fuss is about  . I mean this has decent color, a fairly attractive comp, OK lighting, and a pretty good DOF/POF choice but compared to the Mona Lisa its only so so . . . NOT! This really is exceptional even by your high standards. Since Michael has exhausted the supply of toasts I'll offer eleventy billion tips o' the cap. Masterful shot. >=))>

You have raised the bar so high that this is now in stratosphere! Crazy, crazy, crazy good! This deserved to be hung next to the Mona Lisa.

Great lines, excellent light on the center, and a fantastic result. The red is intense Ram. I love the look to the center - that is what makes the shot for me.
