Another moment from my sunset and early evening with the bookcliffs in Grand Junction.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

This is beautiful, I love the striated hillsides and the lovely, yet subtle pastel color throughout. :toast:

Excellent shot Morris. Very nice light and the processing is spot on. I also like the thin strip of grass or whatever it is you left in the immediate fg. :toast:

Beautiful soft light to showcase some extraordinary geology. I also like the pano-esque presentation :toast:

Very soft colors. This light makes a very rugged place appear very soft. Nice image.

Cool! Great subtle colors and nice soft light. I'm envisioning a crescent moon or something on the lhs sky--but it's pretty as is too!

My favorite of your series.
Leaving the sliver of ground on the bottom 'grounds' those imposing cliffs, and the soft colors are beautiful. I could see a bit more contrast and/or saturation, but that's a personal problem.

Morris,

You sure were able to maximize your efforts on these cliffs. I think I liked the first in the series the best, but this one is beautiful in its own right. The soft light is beautiful and I like the hints of pastels in the sky. The pano crop/format is just right here too.

I like this one the best of the 3. This comp shows a more majestic pose, and the softly lit sky contrasts nicely with the cliffs.

Wonderful pastel lighting. Excellent comp. Good choice with the pano crop. BTW, do you use a pano camera or is this a crop? :toast: :toast:

Gorgeous pastel tones here, Morris. Love this. The detail in the cliffs is so fine. The only thing that's missing for me is that I cannot grasp the scale of the formations. Still this is so enjoyable to view.

I really like the pastel colors here. I've often driven by here wondering how to capture the scene and you did it beautifully! I feel the grass on the bottom is a little tight for me so I may include a tiny bit more, but that's my opinion on the web version, only.

I've driven along these cliffs once. I was amazed at the repetition, and symmetry there. It's like a wave of repetition that literally goes on for miles. Nice light on the rim here. Neat shots of a rarely photographed location.

Incredible Morris. The light, the textures, the pastel colors, as before, are all superb. Really like the pano format and the tight top and bottom.

I actually think this is one of your stronger shots Morris. The color palette is stunning and the composition is stately and elegant. Fantastic work! :toast:

Who says you need a sky with color... I love the way those colorful cliffs standout against that nondescript sky. I really enjoy the pano treatment here as well... beautiful work!
