Hello,
this shot was taken at Padre Island NS. It was the first time I met more species of Terns in the same place. This one drew my attention for his small size.

Thanks for viewing.
C&C are very welcome.

Ops, I've attached the larger version with the little pile of sand cloned out. Maybe it's better.

The detail of the tern is very good. Nice pose, nice light, nice head turn. The little pile of sand isn't bothersome to me. The shell or pebble beyond the bird's butt is a slight imperfection as is the horizontal line of the water behind the tern's head. To me, these are small nits and not major degradations of a good picture.

Nice view of this tern and I like your nice low perspective. Sand doesn't bother me either(unless it's in my shorts!). Nicely done. Sharon

Very nice, Monica. I like the low angle and the pose of the subject.
The sand pile is not disturbing, it is quite natural.

Congrats

Nice image. Good catch on the head turn and eye contact.

You got a great head turn Monica and your exposure looks very good. I probably wouldn't have even noticed the sand pile if you hadn't mentioned it. I like your composition and low angle. I do notice what appears to be a narrow sharpening halo, particularly around the beak and the black wing feathers.

Lovely detail and head turn, Monica. The comp is very nice too. Although the sand is natural, I prefer the image without it. :toast:
