I have just started experimenting with stacking images. This is a stack of 19 images with some tweaking with NIK'a Color Efex Pro filters and finally PS and a rough pastel filter.

A little color shift and this would look like it was made of copper. You achieve a high degree of texture to the petals and nice dof. Still not sure that stacking is made for flowers (not just yours). It makes the petals appear thick and they loose their delicacy.
