Hi, there. I live in Florida, but this photo was taken in Alaska in the summer of, um, 2007, I think. Maybe the summer of 2008.

I have been an outdoors person all my life and am thrilled to have finally "found" nature photography. I'm a true newbie at it but am completely enjoying the process of learning (and the learning is thanks to NPN).

Hi Barbara, nice to see you. Keep up the posting, it's fun to see your progress. Your camera is a good one and should cover most of what you are wanting to do. When I had an earlier model the one thing I found that was a problem was the cycling time from shot to shot and it was difficult to follow birds in flight or rapidly moving animals on the ground. I gave mine to our son, wished I had it back many times.
