Like many in California I made the pilgrimage to Bishop Creek Canyon to take in a little fall color. The canyon was ablaze with orange, red, gold, and green.

A large version is available as well. Thanks for looking and/or commenting.

Very nice fall colors Mike. The yellows here are fantastic. I really like the choice of shutter speed which retains some detail in the rushing water.

Wonderful exposure in getting this shot, good DOF and shutter speed choice for displaying the water flow, the larger image looks great, well done.

Beautiful Image. I have got to get out that way one day! There are some incredible places in the Sierras/Death Valley and Bishop areas. I remember some images I used to look at of Galen Rowells when I first started in Photography from that area........ :toast:

Nice, Mike! I have a few from the South Fork too. The colors were really popping that weekend. I heard some workshop leaders saying it was the best color in 5 seasons! Glad I went, and glad for you too.

Nice comp and color. The overcast light really helps in bringing out the best here.

Beautiful fall colors Mike. Lovely how the creek leads you right to the back of the image. Nice work.

Mike,

This is gorgeous. Sure, it's a classic Bishop Creek (or name that E.Sierra creek) comp and image, but the colors and clarity you've captured here are just wonderful. Also, the water texture and flow are just perfect here. A beautifully crafted and captured autumn scenic.
