Idyllic Country Scene

Nikon D300, Nikkor 17-55 @55mm. F/16, 1/3, ISO 200.

At the edge of the maple bush, I could see the old wire fence through the trees bordering the next field. Here the light and color was serene and captivating. Comments appreciated.

A beautiful idyllic scene, Albert. I like the touches of orange on the other side of the fence. Makes me want to find my wire clippers and walk right though to the forbidden land.

Cheers,

Carol

Albert:
Gorgeous light and very painterly. Ideally, wish the wire fence was not there though.

Albert,

For my tastes this is exceptional. A strong composition, beautiful subdued color and and superb processing. Also for me the fence adds interest. Love the mood in this as well. I routinely see beautiful images on this site but I find this one particularly appealing. I'd have it printed and on my wall in a second.

I think these "small scenes" are extremely hard to capture. You have done it superbly and the mood comes through. Great comp, great presentation. :toast:

Albert, which painting brushes and oil colors have you used for this painting? I love all: the light, the pastel colors, the softness in the right places. Beautiful!
Cheers.
