Splash, Splash

PLEASE VIEW LarRGER

Well, I owe the title to Stan, who posted a picture just before mine...

A sunset view of Cala del Gesso, a small bay on the northern end of Isola del Giglio in the Tuscan Archipelago, italy. That's the only night with a bit of wave in all the eight days I stayed there. Apart this day, the sea has always been - as we say here in Italy - "as flat as a board"

Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks in advance for your time.

Techs: Eos 50D, Tokina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, GND8x, tripod, double exposure blending.

The splash in wonderful, as is the flow over the rocks, great to see them hold form and not get swallowed by the waves.

Like usual I always enjoy your work Paolo and this was is no exception. If I had to nit pick it seems that there is a tad bit of magenta in the FG water. I know it could be my monitor as we know that colors always change slightly from one to other but thought I would mention it in case.

Looks like you made the most of the wave action you had, sorry it was only one of the eight. Great idea to catch the late light/sun to add color and interest.

Great mixture of sunset color on the horizon and surf action in the foreground. I love the action you caught here.

Man, this is gorgeous! Maybe just a tiny bit heavy in the saturation?

Awesome. Love how the sun is barely over the horizon, and that splash really takes the picture to another levek. Great work!
