For my tastes this one is very interesting Elisabeth. The bg appeals more to me than the in focus center. The white washed out bloom with the yellow center in the fg is gorgeous. It's striking enough that, that's where my eye ends up. I like the image as posted but I'd be sorely tempted to take the entire image soft and use the fg oof flower as the resting point for the eye. Gorgeous color. Striking work.

Elisabeth:
Love this image especially the bg softness. Also like the fg focus flower. Wish the petals intrusion from the left border was not there though.

I think it's a cool abstract, Elisabeth. I like the combination of the lines and the curls.

Cheers,

Hi Elisabeth. I really like the 'burst' from the aster near center. Having the faded bloom as the star of the shot just is not working for me.

The curling petals make for an intriguing image.

Elisabeth: Sorry to be so late commenting but this is marvelous. I like the light and the shallow DOF. Delightful shot.>=))>
