Bob: Reminds me of similar offerings from Ken Smith. This is just excellently conceived and superbly presented. Terrific image. >=))>

Beautiful, intricate shot Bob. I really like it. By the way, thanks for the note you sent me the other day in response to my question in one of your recent posts.

Great fall colors, Bob, and I like your composition with the curled leaves helping to lead the eye around.

Cheers,

Love the comp, colors and light Bob. I'd give this a 10 out of 10.

So, If you would, tell us how you lit this and what you think of using the tilt and shift. I'm assuming that's what the T/S is. I'd also love to know what F Stop you shot it at. I don't recall seeing any tilt and shift images in the gallery before but I may just have missed noticing it - assuming again that this is tilt and shift.

Gorgeous work.

Folks, thanks for all the comments. Much appreciated.
Pat,
The lighting is window sill light from an overcast afternoon sky. T/S is aTilt/shift. This lens is my sharpest lens.this was shot at f32. I was at the garden centre yesterday shooting some very full hibiscus when I thought what I need to show is a comparison of a stacked image to one shot using the tilt mechanism. In a future post I will show a comparison of the same flower shot at the same time but one a stacked version and the other using the tilt capability of a T/S lens. Stay tuned.

From Pat:
Thank you very much Bob. I'm looking forward to the comparison. I've been thinking about a tilt and shift for a year or so now.

This is gorgeous, Bob! Really well done arrangement for the season. Artfully created.

On a more whimsical note, when I looked at the thumbnail, it looked like a kitty face peeking out of a bowl of pot-pourri. Less obvious at the larger size but it's still there. Cute.

very nice colours and texture. May be a bit too busy for me, my eyes get drawn to the dark corners on the right.
