You are just killing us with these Osprey + fish shots. The only nit here is the grain due to the high ISO. I'd run some noise reduction (carefully so as to not muddy the droplets) and increase the shadows (particularly in the lower 1/4 of the image). The way this is currently processed has a scanned film photo look to it.

What Luke said, although I am not sure what is wrong with a "scanned film photo look." It is a great action shot, IMHO.

Lee, you timed this just right to get the fish visible, wings in a pleasing position and all that water spray. I like your low perspective too. Very nice action.

Great Osprey action shot Lee. Love the lower angle, waterdrops and reflection. Would agree about the NR. Congrats on having your other shot picked for the BBC Countryfile Childrens calendar. I checked your website out and you have some very nice sequence shots of this bird with prey.

Perfect timing to get the splash, the fish and the Osprey all in detail. Nicely exposed and sharp, you might even be able to back of the unsharp mask just a tad. While out in my kayak this summer, I watched an Osprey dive into a lake, he dropped from quite a height and struck the water with unbelievable force!

Great action you have captured here. The fish is as large as the bird. Amazing. The water droplets just make it.

Amazing shot, excellent timing to get this. I like the water droplets, wing spread and overall composition. The larger image was a pleasure to view, well done.
