True alpenglow, that is.
Shot this one on the same morning as the previous image posted, right before sunrise. I liked the abstract quality of the scene and with a sky like that I just couldn't say no. Hope you like it.

Very serene Dorin, nice soft light and colors, and a pleasing comp. Nice capture.

Your web sharpening and overall processing looks superb Dorin. While the sky is beautiful as presented, I do think it could benefit aesthetically from some minor contrast adjustments to add extra "pop". The stillness of the tarn looks like glass. Exquisite.

You've captured a wonderful scene Dorin, the details in the hills and rock are excellent. Beautiful serene landscape.

OK, what is "true" alpenglow? This looks a bit like "cloud' glow to me, but what do I know living in the desert Regardless, the light is super and you composed it well to introduce some interesting shapes and soft gradients.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
Tony, apparently "true" alpenglow appears when light is reflected off airborne snow, water or ice particles low in the atmosphere, before sunrise or after sunset. The image doesn't show it that well (on the top left), but it was clearly visible with the naked eye.
