Hello,
this bird was taken at the end of July at Brazoria NWR(TX) in the sunset light, just during a mosquitoes attack.
I think he is a juvenile spotted sandpiper. Could someone confirm that? Thank you very much.

Thanks for viewing.
C&C are very welcome.

A lovely and moody image of a Spotted Sandpiper. I like the light and the low perspective.

Nice low angle and pose. I like the way you have framed this too. It seems just a little dark to me.

The low angle really does add so much to this shot, Monica. Very fine pose of this bird too: nice head turn and catchlight. I like the comp but I do wish I could see the tail of the bird a bit more clearly. Maybe a bit more exposure would help. :toast:

Monica,

The first thing I liked when I opened this is the light, it appears like the light had just touched the bird but wasn't yet high enough to reach the ground. For me that is appealing. Love the pose of your Spotted Sandpiper, your low angle and the wonderful eye contact.

I love everything about this shot : composition, warm light, exposure ( great job on whites ), BG and overall perspective at level of the subject.

Really nice! I like the lighting on this and your perspective. I'd consider cloning out the white stuff in front of the bird. Sharon
