WC450 - Moon Lighting

The full moon was so bright I drove out to the lake with my lights off (In Alaska in December). There was a thin layer of ice covering the whole lake and it was so quiet that I could hear the crack "unzipping" all the way across when I stepped onto the floating dock to set up the tripod. The clouds and the left side of the mountain range was lit up by the town lights.

4 horizontal exposures stitched. Shot with a Sony DSC-F707, ISO-100, f2.0, 20 seconds/frame.

As usual with long panoramas, the large version looks much better.

Excellent image. Gary, did you create this panorama from more single shots or you have used a special panorama camera? Very impressive.

Thanks, Miro. This was 4 photos stitched with Panorama Factory. A tripod was necessary because of the long exposures in each frame.

impressive scene, Gary. I like how you got a reflection on the ice even under the full moon.
