In the early morning fog, a passing cloud appears to connect to this often photographed tree in the Cades Cove area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Interesting image. I have mixed emotions about it. The light is very artistic, but it almost looks over exposed. The cop is good and the longer I look at it the more I like it.

I like everything about this pic. I like the colors of this clean and simple comp. I think the bright exposure adds to the ethereal feel.

I might be temped to crop a wee bit off the top….. just a small amount.

I really like this. The fog has an almost veiling flare look about it. Nice work.

Mike,

How dreamy is this?? Great atmosphere, mood and I really like the mix of fog and the inclusion of sky and the nice wispy cloud. Not really a nit, but I think the green/yellow of the tree is a little strong - no biggie.

And as a little side note for future reference.... the field looks cultivated which really makes this better suited for the Man & Nature gallery, but will leave this one in since it's already been out here for a bit.

I've attempted to photograph this tree several times in different seasons and none have come out as nice as this one Mike. The greens seem a bit unnatural but the color contrasts are beautiful.

I love how the mist acts as a diffuser filter, giving the tree a soft romantic feel to it.
