Good picture, Jay.

Seeing a burrowing owl on a natural perch has become an unusual sight for me. I live near the largest population of burrowing owls in the eastern US, in Cape Coral, Florida. Virtually all the burrows are on vacant lots. The City of Cape Coral use to protect the burrows by marking them with wooden surveyors' stakes, but now they use PVC pipe.

Jay, I enjoy the unusual perch/setting for this little owl. I like your composition and good eye contact.

A nice pose, eye contact and compsition. It would of been nice to have just a liltte seperation from the top bush to bring out the owl with that nice background but minor, well done.

Love the comp with the vege. Great look at the bird with added shadows. Would like to see a larger version for a better look at the detail on the bird. But this looks nice as posted.

I like it Jay. I've yet to see one of these so I can't comment on the natural perch verses where one might usually see one. Great eye contact and nice and sharp.

Jay,

I adore Burrowing Owls, they have such fun expressions. This one doesn't disappoint. Great perch, background and pose. The light looks fine to me but I detect a very slight green cast, that should be easy to fix in RAW. Lovely comp and eye contact.
