This is on the Madison and this big bull is looking at some cows that have wandered off.

That's a huge spread on those antlers. I like the pose and the surroundings. I'd take a little off the right to get him off center.

Great image, I like where you have him, but a little more FG might not hurt. Thanks for sharing.

Impressive bull. I like the setting, very cool having him standing in the river. I agree with the previous suggestions about his position in the frame.

I wish you would stop posting these elk on the Madison pictures. They are giving me a bad case of Yellowstone fever! That is a nice rack. I would have shifted my camera to place the elk to the right of the frame leaving the space on the left for him to look into. That would make a nice two page spread in a magazine with the headline on the left side page and the elk on the right side page.

Nice shot of an impressive bull. More space on the left would have made it a perfect photo. :wavey:

Huge bull. Very impressive. I agree with moving the main subject more to the right so he has space to peer into on the left. A little more space on the bottom to keep from crowding the "virtual" feet would maybe be better, too.

Jack,
I was on the Madison Sept. 15, photographing this same bull and his group of cows. I went back the next Sunday Sept. 19, and he had been replaced and was now the satellite bull. He was circling the new heard bull, causing him to chase him. The new heard bull was constantly on the move. A friend was there on the Madison, Friday Oct 1, this bull was again the heard bull. What a drama. great capture.

This is the younger bull that replaced him. He was chasing the older bull away.
