WC #145 Ice Universe
by Brent Doerzman
Hello Everyone!
I shot this last February, looking straight down into the ice on Loch Vale, in Rocky Mountain National Park. I had been looking for this type of ice for about three years, after getting some similar images on Dream Lake in 2002 . Well, I heard from a few climber friends that it was happening again, so headed up there the next chance I got. It was better than I could have expected. I shot 32 sheets that AM, all but two were shooting straight down. :) This is one of my favorites for sure. Here is a larger version if you really want to see some of the detail (600K):Large Ice
Thanks for looking!
