Well I have be developing a real appreciation for gulls and thought I would share this. Comments both good and bad are always welcome.

Greetings, Michael...This is a nice photo of a juvenile gull. I like the lighting, the pose and the low angle of view. My only nit is the large amount of OOF foreground. If this were my image I would have either placed the gull lower in the frame or I would have cropped off the majority of the foregro9und. Still, this is a nice image.

Very nice image of the gull. I like that he is moving toward you with good eye contact. We defined against the BG. There is a little too much OOF in the foreground for my taste. It could almost be cropped into a pano format.

welcome back, Mike! I think gulls are underrated subjects. This is a nice looking shot, with a good landing pose. I agree, the only nit is the amount of oof foreground seems rather heavy to me.

nice capture of this youth Michael. I agree about maybe loosing half of the FG you currently have....other than that, I like this a lot. Good work!

Nice one Michael - really like the low angle and spread wings. Possibly a little off the bottom and a bit to the top?

cheers
Rob
