I had never been to Death Valley until this last spring, and frankly the beauty of the place is overwhelming. Our ten day stay went WAY to fast, and we didn't get to see a fraction of what we wanted. The good news is, we'll be heading back again this next spring break for another round.

Gorgeous sky Cory. I love the leed in lines, the snow capped mountains, and particularly the reflection in the water. Nice comp. Sharp foreground. I love it! Never been there....makes me want to go.

I think the wide angle / foreground super close to the camera works really well here. The colors are also great, as is that little bit of snow on the mountains.

Cory, love the dynamics of the foreground elements and how they go on forever. The sky fills in the rest with such great color. This is just a joy to look at. Great artistry!

Glad I see this one a few months after it was shot, this site was busy with similar shots. But it's a joy seeing it now and a great reminder how magical of a place it is. Perfectly captured!

This is very nice Cory. Love how the sky is mirrored. It creates an element of interest for the middle ground. Many of the shots from here dont have that. :toast:

Really an awesome shot, Cory. The reflection in the water in the polygons takes this way up a notch for me.... the great clouds don't hurt either :toast:

Cory, I had convinced myself that it was OK for me to NOT make the drive down there to catch the water at Badwater this spring.... ooooh blah everyone is doing it.... You are starting to make me regret that!

Anyway this is such an awesome shot. That's about the best sky I've ever seen in a Badwater shot. Foreground is great. :toast:

This is a beauty, Cory. You caught the park with some great skies and took full advantage of it. Great foreground pattern and love the colors in the reflection.

Cory,

This is beautiful. I especially appreciate the patterns in the salt, as I've never gotten a composition that I liked.

I will echo Tony's comment that it almost certainly won't be the same next time you go, but don't let that stop you from going and looking for new things!
