Poppy - 3 + repost

Picking up my thread of poppies here is the 3rd in the series..

Being at site from before the sun rise till later, I know this is THE best time for the shot. Any later and flare is unavoidable, but the poppies take on a lovely backlit glow (maybe the next shot in the series). Can't wait till 4:30 am next summer

Your thoughts and comments most appreciated.

Canon 350D, ISO-100, f22, 18-55mm lens @ 18mm. ND Grads.

The large version is not much bigger in size but is less compressed(92%), the smaller image is saved at 75%

Beautiful shot and I like the comp. Reds seem a little over saturated but it is easy to picture myself standing there enjoying this magnificent scene.

Hi Debashis,

Beautiful lighting and I really like how the red flowers reflect the golden light of the rising sun.

Lovely capture.

Beautiful image Debashis. I love the light. I wonder, was there not more of a gradient in this going from dark to light as the eye moves into the image. If not, should there be? I love the mood in this.

Debashis:
Lovely florascape and I really like this. Would like to suggest cropping more from the top to just above the sun making this into a pano to give this a more expansive lateral look rather than more depth. May also benefit from a slight CCW rotation?
Where abouts is this in UK? I do get to UK once or twice a year.

Debashis, These are such lovely flowers  . Love the landscape presented here with an expanse of the poppies. This looks great even without the sky in the frame. If anything, I might darken the sky a wee bit.

Thanks all for the comments, truly appreciate those.
When I try this next summer, I would certainly like to improve on this - better exposure/GND filter control, hopefully a better viewpoint to have a cleaner image etc.. and that's where your feedback is so crucial.

Pat, thanks very much for your observation. I may have brightened the image/poppies a bit too much in PS. The repost is more like what's in the original.

Debashis: Beautiful scene and a fine capture. I do think the repost is an improvement but the original is fine. I usually don't like this much sky but this looks good to me. Well done.>=))>
