Singing Honeyeater

If you find yourself in wasteland habitat in Australia - overgrazed, drought stricken, nuclear holocaust type habitat. Chances are you'll be sharing it with a Singing Honeyeater. Taken in July in SW Queensland.

ISO 400 f7.1 1/125 overcast

cheers

Love the subdued light in this shot Rob. The little splash of yellow on the face really draws my eye to the bird. Great detial and comp as usual.

Great habitat shot Rob. The image does not convey the wasteland you talk of. Beautiful perch and a pleasing background. I really like the comp and the feather details are sharp. Wish the head was slightly turned toward you. Very beautiful Rob.

This is IMHO a very pretty image. But, as nice as the bird in the photo is if I was where you discribed I would want something bigger and tasty!. Thanks for sharing.

I like the limited range of colors and quiet lighting. Quite peaceful as nuclear holocausts go!

Plenty of that habitat in Oz Rob.
Just love the soft light here and there is so much detail to ooze over it's very nice. Great work as always.

he looks like he'd be right at home in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, Rob. sweet looking shot, with nice habitat, great details, and a good looking comp. your images are always a treat, Rob.
