Just posting this one under E,S&S on the advice of some Flora members - not quite sure yet where photos go ;-)

A photo taken last winter on a snowy morning - just peeking at trees through the trees...

Nikon D300
Nikkor AF-S VR 18-200 mm @ 52 mm
ISO 320
f/6,3
1/400

C&C welcome!

bold and graphic image, ingrid. the trees peeking through in the distance make this. i'm not 100% convinced about the symmetry of the three trees and would be interested to see other compositions/arrangements.

I like the fog? snow? shrouded tree line in the background, but the symmetry of the 3 trees doesn't have as much appeal. More detail and contrast in the FG trees would also help. I think I'd consider cropping out either the left or right tree, and perhaps convert this image to B&W?

Simple and Complex simultaneously. I'm a sucker for Winter trees, and this is right up my alley. The graphic nature is boldly presented in your well suited composition. Nice work!

beautiful.
the falling snowflakes bring a lot of atmospheric softness to the scene. one can almost "hear" the silence.

I, for one, LOVE the unusual symmetry of the trees: way to turn the rule of thirds on its head for the sake of creativity. I don't think a comp with the trunks arranged differently would have as much graphic impact. The interesting foggy background also really helps put this image together. Nice job!

Very stark and intriguing image. I love the bold lines of the foreground trees and then the subdued trees in the background as an opposite. Lovely image.

I don't think I'd change anything here. Quite a graphic image as is.

Fantastic! I love the simple graphic composition, and the excellent title. The misty trees in the distance add an important layer of depth, and the snowflakes create a wonderful mood. Great work!

I really like the ghosts of the trees in the background, and the fact that you've resisted turning it into a black-and-white, even though it's almost there already.

My brain itches for just a bit less symmetry, though. A tiny crop on the left or right might help create a little tension to help keep the eye moving around a bit.
