Fox (c) plus re-post(s)

This is Frodo, a captive fox at the British Wildlife Centre in England.
He loves to pose for the cameras

This was taken through thick chain-link fencing, I held the lens hood against the fence and used a wide aperture to make the fence invisible.

The large version is one I prepared for another website, when I recently re-sized it for this site I decided to crop it and clone some grass out.
Do you think I should have cloned out those branches above his head too?, only I wasn't sure.

Sony A350
Sigma 50-500 EX

f6.3
ISO 400
280mm
-0.3 stop exposure compensation
Centre weighted metering

Thanks to Ian from the UK forum on here for pointing out that my background is very noisy and that it would be better to clone out those branches.
I've done a quick repair job on it and uploaded it as a re-post.

Very alluring photo Geoffrey. That's a lot of cloning but the repost is enhanced.

Good job with a nice subject. I think I like it better with a least some of that branch over the head, which enhances the sense of 3-D space. If you clone anything at all, I would consider removing just the part extending closest to his head.

Hello Geoffrey, What a wonderful expression on a beautiful fox. I like the cloned version. There shouldn't be any distractions from peering into those eyes.

Hi Geoffrey,

I like the composition and the colours very much. The relaxed pose is also very nice.

It's a beautiful gaze from this fox and colour of tree is going very well with that of fox.
Of course, I prefer repost.

Hi Geoffrey,

Very nice shot - the fox looks just so relaxed (and certainly very well fed!!).

I do prefer the re-post and it's certainly "cleaner", but have to say that the branches you cloned out did NOT distract me on the original post. In a way it's too bad you didn't let the comments roll in for awhile BEFORE you added the re-post - it would have been interesting to see how many (if any) would have commented on the branch if you hadn't drawn attention to it by removing it.

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Ok, I've had another go at this one, don't worry, it's my last re-work

Grew the branches back and sharpened it a bit more, I wish I knew what I was doing
