Banded Darters on Fire
by Jeroen Stel
Hi Guys,
Here's another from my tour around Holland with fellow UKNP member Barry Southon this weekend. I took him to a lot of places from my Roe Deer sites to Spoonbills and from the recently posted Buzzard to Snipe etc etc.
Yesterday however we went over to my favorite place to photograph Banded Darters wich is a very scarse type of Dragonfly for The Netherlands and as we got there around 06.00 o'clock the sun was just about to rise and we where able to get a nice series of backlit shots.
greetings,
Jeroen Stel

Loved the colours throughout and the translucent wings. Also liked the subtle details on its body. Very creative use of BG and light.
Just fantastic and top-notched dragonfly shot. Beautiful warm lighting and nice sharp details in both DF.
