Very nice. Your choice of DOF is spot on IMO. Love those soft petals. The border works well I think also.

I like the composition you chose Sandy. The flower is not like any dogwood I've seen, but who knows maybe there are more than one variety. You've also handled the whites nicely.

Sandy, Almost all the Dogwood flowers I have seen had four petals. When I saw the thumbnail my first reaction was "this must be clematis" and some variety of Clematis is what I am thinking that this would be.
Lovely photo, love the striking yellows on a perfectly handled whites.

Lovely yellows on soft whites, Sandy. I like the angle of your subject as well as the DOF.
Not sure this is a Dogwood; it doesn't look like any I've ever seen. Was it a flowering tree or a vine? Be that as it may, it's a lovely composition.
Cheers,
Carol

Sandy: ID issues aside, (I was thinking clematis as well) this is a lovey capture and a finely crafted image from capture to presentation. Really well done.>=))>

Lovely. I think the echo of yellow in the background works great.

Really NICE perspective on this, Sandy. It's lovely in its softness and looks like it belongs hovering in a light tropical breeze.
