Nikon D300, 50mm, F/8, 1/20, ISO 200.

Phlox and Dahlia make a stunning combination floating in a glass dish. I hope you agree. Comments appreciated.

Beautiful indeed Albert. This is not a suggestion because I like this as posted but It might be interesting to clone out any evidence of the bowl other than the light and shadow, then maybe crop in from the sides. Gorgeous color and I love the fresh bg for this.

Sweet image Albert. Very colorful and well composed. I don't mind the bowl at all; in fact I think its necessary to anchor the image.

Hi Pat, Bill, Gary, and Philip :wavey: Really enjoy your fine comments!! And respect your opinions. Hope Pat? Philip and myself will end up the majority, concerning the bowl anchoring the image. Remember the flowers are floating on water , not air. Carol! thats surface tension.

I do agree, Albert. Your combination looks stunning. You have a tiny white line around the red Dahlia. Perhaps over-sharpening? But I can't really tell. I like just the hind of glass bowl in this image. I think it would make a fine print.

Cheers,

Carol

Great creativity here, Albert  . I like how you handled the exposure and angle to prevent that Vase from being a distraction.

Lovely photo. :toast:

Albert, I lkike the arrangement and how you capteured the light. Great combo of blooms.

Only nits would be in a perfect world would be a full white phlox bloom at the centre of that bunch and the what I will call the rim of the bowl continued the full arc and the bottom of the image. But, they ar epretty small nits.
