Plumed Whistling Duck

Another from my sojourn up north with Simon. It was impossible to isolate an individual bird on the bank but occasionally you could do so on the water. This is a reasonable crop.

cheers

Love the pure sharpness of the duck and out-of-focus suggestion of other ducks in the background

Held up well for a reasonable crop, whatever you mean by that. Great looking bird. I would love to see one this close someday.

Great angle, light and eye contact, it looks as if there is no lack of ducks in your area. :)

Sweet low angle Rob. I love all the blurred birds in the BG. Nice light, color, detial, and sharpness on the subject. I would love to be able to get some flight shots of this species.

I love the colors and the details Rob! I might crop a little tighter to bring the subject out from the BG more.

Nicely done considering the circumstances Rob. I can see all the birds on the far shore, yet your isolation is well done. Nice and sharp along with a seriously low position gives this image a great perspective. Wish there was just slightly more room under the bird. Great shot Rob.

Love this Rob. The duck is isolated and the angle is great but it's still part of the flock with the birds in the bg. :toast:
