A Robin taken during the Winter from the hide in my yard.
The very bright background is the mountain across the valley in the sunshine.

I've just returned from a few days away so I'm having to catch up with all the comments and uploads.

Beautiful, Geoffrey. I like the head on pose and the fluffed out feathers. The mossy perch really works here. :toast:

Great capture Geoffrey. Extremely sharp throughout. Great depth of field and you even got the feet sharp. Feather detail is really good. Looks like fire or smoke in the background against the mountain but it matches the feathers nicely. Beautiful image.

Greetings, Geoffrey...A solid image on all points. I normally don't care for head on images but this image turned my head. Well done. I am always amazed at the images that the Bigma 50-500mm lens can produce if used carefully. Sometimes it makes me wonder why I spent so much money on a 500mm lens.

Great pose Geoffrey, I like the head on, almost grumpy look this bird has. Lovely colors and light.

Great image Geoffrey, those colors are beautiful and the feather detail is great, I really like the perch and how the green contrasts so well with the oranges and browns.

Awesome photo - this little bird has attitude. I think this is a prime example of a UK bird shot - the lighting, textures and colors are all consistant with the top notch UK photos seen on this forum and elsewhere, well done.
