Osprey with a Kokanee Salmon captured on Lake Koocanusa, Northwest Montana. Image taken handheld from a Lund 18' fishing boat owned by my brother-in-law, who kindly allowed me to tag along on his fishing venture.

Thanks for looking, comments always appreciated.

Neat shot Chuck. I envy you for both being there and getting this. Great to get the fish and you got a good look at the eye of both Osprey and prey. Plenty of detail in the shadows. Nits might include a slight softness and a bit of a halo, particularly around the right wing. Is the fish a Kokanee? We used to call them silver salmon back in the old days around Flathead Lake and Lake Blaine.

nice one, catching it with the kokanee, Chuck. I agree that it's a little tight, but with this bg, easy to add a little canvas. seems a little on the blue side overall, especially in the shadows--I might try warming it up just a little.

A great shot Charles. I also think it's a bit tight in that upper left and the osprey seems a bit blue to me, but the sharpness and wing position are really nice as well as all that nice shadow detail you picked up.

Very nice flight shot, Charles. I like the wing position of the Osprey and the nice look at the Kokanee. I think I'm seeing a very slight bluish color cast on this calibrated monitor (hopefully it calibrated correctly) . :toast:

Nice comp and wing position Chuck - the fish doesn't look overly impressed with the situation

cheers

Great action Chuck, I agree with Dennis that there might be a bit of a bluish or cyan cast to this. :toast:

Chuck,

I'm slow commenting these past few days because I have been tied up with a lot of work but I wanted to comment on your image. I like the wing position, the fish in the talons, the eye contact and your comp. There is a slight blue/cyan cast to this but that would be easy enough to warm up in acr or photoshop. There is also a slight halo, but again that is easy to fix.
