Narrow Line

Just returned from an 18-day sojourn to the south slope of the Brooks range, the northern-most mountain range in Alaska.

Took a few photos.

This is one from a hike up a very narrow gulch we called Clint Lydell Gulch. Required some climbing and rock-scampering abilities. This is looking down at the entrance to the gulch. Note the Dall Sheep trails on the sides...

Comments and constructive criticism sought and welcomed.

An interesting looking landscape. The narrow gulch provides a nice lead into the mountains ahead. Looks somewhat flat, perhaps tweak the contrast a bit?

Yeah this is a pretty unique shot. I agree about the contrast, particularly in the background

Nice composition Fisch. I'd be interested in seeing a darker sky--perhaps a layer with a gradation overlay to mimmic a NGD?

Sounds like a very interesting place Larry. I like your composition here with the valley creating a "V" in the center of the frame. I agree with the others about boosting the contrast a bit and darkening the sky.

That's a fascinating lead into the background, truly barren ending in vegetation and color. I do agree the distant scene could use some work to reduce the haze and cyan.
