A good addition to your collection of these birds. Nice color and composition using the natural setting. I'm a little confused by the blade of grass that crosses the main perch - it almost disappears then reappears.

Richard,

The tips of spartina alterniflora are very flat so where you see it "disappear" it actually is just perpendicular to the image sensor resulting in an extremely thin profile. Combine that with the similarly colored BG and it looks like it comes and goes. Viewing the large image very closely will attest to that.

Large view is really nice. Nice contrast between bird and background. I can follow the blade of grass cleanly on my monitor.

Looks to be the perfect setting for the species Luke and I like it aesthetically too. Nice pose. The larger version looks very good.

Appropriate setting and a great pose. Looks very good for 800 iso and this sensor.

Good pose, perch and background, if only that one blade of grass was over just a bit but no big deal. I like this sparrow image the best so far, wonderful composition to show habitat.

Neat series of this species Luke. Like this one a lot. Just a bit sharper on the head and this would be steller. Very nice as posted.

Nice perch and setting Luke - I'm a fan of birds perched on vertical grass stems.
