Red Clover

The Red Clover is such an ordinary plant, that I can imagine that it is often overlooked.
But if you give it a good look it is such a beautiful plant. The leaves have an interesting marking, the flowerheads are built up with a lot of of very small flowers.
This example isn't yet flowering, but I liked the fluffiness of the buds.

D300, Sigma180macro, F5, 1/80, tripod, full frame. :wavey:

This is superb for my tastes Ellen. I love the processing and the mood the image creates. No suggestions.

Beautiful, indeed. I think the shallow DOF works especially well here.

Awesome. Would never have guessed that this could be a Clover  . I like the fluffiness and the anchor provided by the 3 leaves. Cropping to a near square and flipping this vertical may also look nice (just imagining for now).

Irrespective, very fine work :toast:

Ellen, very well captured and presented. I'd say the DOF is spot on.

Uncommonly beautiful presentation of a common little weed. Really nice.

Very beautiful! I like the softness and your comp. Your border really brings out the mauve in the bloom. :toast:
