Hundreds of Zebra Finches were coming in to drink at a trough at Kilcowera in south west Queensland. I had visions of a perch lined with lots of birds but three was the most I could get doing the right thing.

Three is great, Rob. Really charming image. Cute, colorful birds nicely perched at an angle and all in focus too! :toast:

Cool to get the male flanked by two females too.

Nicely done.

I love that the one in the middle is different and your use of the diagonal perch. A really beautiful presentation

Very nice composition and BG, I agree with all the nice comments  The only thing that could have increased the impact for me is if they would all have looked in a different direction (to the left, to the right and 1 frontal) - but you could wait a long time for that to happen. Very beautiful as is.

Great composition with those three all looking over in the same direction and the diagonal branch is perfectly placed. Combined with a sweet, smooth bg you really couldn't ask for better, it's just lovely.

Lovely light Rob, the comp works great with the diagonal line of the branch and the stair-step of the finches. Love the way they are all looking in the same direction and the beautiful colors.

Superb, Rob. I can't add much to what others have already said, except that I have a captive-bred, rescued Zebra Finch beeping at me in my living room as I type. Good to know where they came form.

What a brilliant photo Rob.
You have some stunning shots in your gallery, the birds over there are soooo different to the ones we have here in the UK, looking through your photos I felt like Charles Darwin must have felt when he discovered all those new species
Keep up the good work.

Geoff.
