A nice perspective and well framed. Detail is surprisingly absent which I'm going to attribute to a crop. What percentage of the original is this?

Like that close crop and the blue background. Makes a nice design!

Lovely image overall. Detail around the eye is nice. The crop seems just a little awkward. I think a little more of the bird would be nice.

A beautiful portrait, The color of the background is really a great complement to the bird. Nice position and crop.

great pose, Ron, though I do wish there was a little more eye contact. compositionally, I think I'd prefer a little more on the left (to get the whole neck) and a little less on the right. neat shot, and a beautiful bird.

Ron, I like it as is. The smooth, creamy colors and muted blues a really inviting.

Beautiful portrait, Ron. I love the subtle shades and patterns in the plumage and the way the blue around the eye mimics the sky. Great lines too. :toast:

Ron,

I like the pose, don't mind only a part of the eye being visible because many birds do close their eyes when preening. I'd wish for less of a crop and more visible detail, the posterization in the sky is evident.
