Mark III 1D, 24mm, ISO 640, f/16, 1/50th, triopd

August doldrums here so I have been reworking some older images. I removed some distracting elements from this and made use of a Nik brilliance/warming filter.

Comments/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Love the light, the mist and the stream in this Peter. Beautiful work. No suggestions.

Laptop definitely not doing this one justice, Peter. I really like the light and the way it makes a strong entrance into the scene.

Peter,

A glorious moment you've captured here. I really like the processing and the effect of the warming filter. The warmth of the light is just beautiful.

The only thing I'm on the fence about is the heavy, dark branch at the top. It certainly works in creating the shadows and rays, but it's almost distracting. Not sure what to suggest though. I guess I'll just have to enjoy the rays and beautiful, peaceful moment.

Great mood captured and processed here. I might be tempted to desaturate or clone over that brightest sun flare left of the trunk just a little... that tugs on my eye a wee bit. Other than that little nit, I love everything about this image. Good stuff!

Lon and Eric,

Thanks, I played with this some more and did lighten that dark branch just a bit and also toned down the brightness of the sun flare. Both suggestions improved the image IMO.

thank you and thank for all the positive feedback from everyone. I need it. :jump:

That light is fantastic Peter. The warm hues, the touch of mist, the backlit grasses, all just superb.

Wow, gorgeous light and very nice arrangement to have reflecting light off of the pools.

Wonderful scene Peter and the exposure is so well handled, meaning it looks so natural. :toast:

Beatiful light and shafts from the sun Peter, the rising mist looks good too.
