Good night

It was sunset time and this Green Bee Eater was having the last few minutes of flight exercise. It was taking off from a twig and going in the direction of the setting sun and returning back to the starting point. I decided to attempt capturing the flight towards the sun and had to work on a high ISO. Please feel free to comment and correct.

Cheers!

Gorgeous image, Srinivasan. I really love the concept and the lighting. I might reduce the empty space just a little, but that's purely a matter of preference. :toast:

Hi Srinivasan,
Excellent use of the low light and the glow effect on the bird is very nice. My only nit with the composition is the placement of the bird and direction of flight. I realize that was beyond your control but a bird flying out of the frame makes the image unbalanced in my opinion.
But still a very nice effect you were able to capture and I applaud you with trying to accomplish something very different from the normal avian image,
Thanks for posting,
Ronnie G.

I love the glowing bird, very cool. I just wish the bird was on the left side of the composition so we have all that space in the direction he's flying on. Oh well... still a very nice image.

Thanks for sharing! :toast:

neat light! I like this but agree it would benefit from some more space in front of the bird (and less behind). love the light coming through the spread wings and tail.

Srinivasan

I garee with Ronnie on the composition, placement of the bird and the direction the bird is flying. I love the unusual light and the coppery colors.

Great effort with the light Srinivasan, not sure about the comp. Like the fanned tail and the light through the wings.

cheers
